What Is Noise? Is Noise Different From A False Positive Event?

The term noise refers to the occurrences that disrupt a signal during its transmission. It disrupts the actual format of the signal and distorts it leading to delivery of wrong information from the original one. Noise is not different from a false positive event since all of them are errors in data reporting.
